Sing Loud

Ever since I was originally mesmerized by Lindsey Stirling's 'Crystallize' and 'Elements', I have loved the idea of blending the classical with the modern.

A few nights ago I was just walking through the living room of my home, and overheard the sound of a piano emanating from the small speaker on my brother's iPhone. With the sound of a classical piano contrasted against the hiphop drums, I was struck with inspiration! Immediately I went went back into my room and played out the melody for what would eventually become Sing Loud.

Using FL Studio HD for the iPad, the production of 'Sing Loud' took less than 24 hours to complete, which, if nothing else, shows you that I was eager to hear the finished product myself.

The song itself is composed of ten tracks of sound, approximately half of which are background tracks to add accent to the piano. The vocoded samples are part of FL Studio's built in samples, and add something really special to the track.

In the end I was somewhat sad to have finished this project so quickly. It is one of the best songs I have produced to date, and is a monument to the my growth in musical production. I am thinking about doing multiple versions for this song, as I have occasionally done in the past with other songs.
